How “Just Do It” was conceived

Just Do It – one of the world’s most famous brand taglines, but how was it conceived? This clip explains exactly that, travelling back to 1988 when creative agency Wieden & Kennedy first coined the phrase for Nike.

“The inspiration for this came from a man who was about to be executed for murder in Utah, and his final words to the firing squad were ‘Let’s Do It’, so I thought I like the ‘Do It’ part of it,” explains agency co-founder Dan Wieden.
