Zen Garage Grand Opening 10th December 2011.
What is Zen Garage? It’s a question people ask all the time. While it’d be nice to nail down exactly what Zen is all about in one sentence, ultimately, you can’t pigeonhole Zen Garage. Instead, Zen would rather keep an open mind about what it could become, rather than be limited to what it is has just begun.
Founded in 2011 in a run-down warehouse space in Sydney’s inner west, Zen Garage opened its doors to a community passionate about automotive culture – but it’s not all just about cars.
Zen’s aim is to explore, and through its website, celebrate creativity and culture. Whether it’s found in cars, bikes, art, photography, music, skateboarding, or anything in which one can reach a moment of Zen. It can be in the build, striking the perfect chord, capturing an amazing moment, or hitting the apex in the perfect corner on the race track.
Zen’s 300sqm warehouse space pushes the online passion offline. It’s a place where like-minded guys and girls can just hang out and chill. Forum communities are welcome to drop in, read books and magazines in the library, test their skills with proper pedals and a race seat on the Forza station, and peruse the retail shop, which focuses on stocking automotive fashion and creative culture goods, including a little turbocharger on a key-ring.
