Got up at 5.30am to get to Eastern Creek by 7.45am for a media briefing (which Luke and I ended up missing because of security!). Then got busy setting up our Zen stand, laid out the stickers neatly, sunnies, hats, only to have the entire tent blow away by strong winds taking 2 tables down with it… wasn’t a great start to the day, but the WTAC vibe kicked in hard and despite being rather quiet (same as every other year on the Friday practise day) there was a special something in the air AND there were some amazing cars on display.
