Last Sunday saw 100mm’s third annual Certified event here in Melbourne. Certified has been, what many call, Melbourne’s premier late-model street car event. Great atmosphere; with various live music acts, food trucks, and some of the best street cars Melbourne has to offer! Everything from local-scene cars, favourites at every late night meet, to big name builds and reveals, Certified is a yearly amalgamation of Melbourne’s car scene, and what puts it on the map.
Toretto and Brian?
Oliver’s crazy S13 that Jasmine featured here!
This Midori Seibi tuned V-specII Nur is possibly my favourite BNR34 in Melbourne; from the LMGT4’s and Z-tune aero, it’s almost exactly how my dream build would end up.
Rocket Bunny ZC/N6’s are popping up more and more these days, with a number in attendance at Certified.
This Sprintex supercharged build with a hybrid of Varis and Rocket Bunny parts looked very interesting, and is definitely one I’d like to see more of. Reminds me of Reggie Mah’s car over in Canada, which is my personal favourite ZN6 build.
Carbon Plus also had a number of impressive promo cars at their stall. Their carbon-bodied MR2 is an absolute screamer, that I saw at an EXE dat at Winton earlier this year.
Making my way closer to the stage area, were the centrepiece builds, the headliners of the show per se. The first car I saw was the Sunus Motorsport E92. Stunning to see in real life, and one of only two Liberty Walk E92’s I know of in the country…. Oh and it’s for sale if anyone has cash to spare (the other LB E92 is also listed for sale if anyone is curious to know).
Carbon Plus also had their menacing Rocket Bunny R35 for one of it’s first few public appearances, aside from WTAC a few weeks ago.
Chern and RWB Australia brought out Southern Cross for it’s official public reveal. Check out the coverage of Akira Nakai-San’s visit to Melbourne by Jasmine and I here and here.
A car I hadn’t seen anything of before 100mm was yet another Rocket Bunny car. The first RB kitted S15 in Australia. I wasn’t a fan of the renders when they were first released of the S15 kit, but in the metal it looks spectacular!
Dear owner of this DC2: we go to the same uni, I see it all the time in the multi-storey car park. Definitely the coolest car there!
Blink <3
The S/W x HouseOfStance club display brought the absolute goods. The detail on their old VW’s and BMW’s was phenomenal, and is definitely something I’m inspired by, and something I wish I saw a little more of in the Jap scene.
Mike’s E30 wagon never fails to draw a crowd.
Chook’s Z33 is another eye-catcher. Everything about it demands attention. The hue, the Big Country Labs wing, and of course- the ride height! Had been seeing quite a lot of photos of the car at WTAC and was awesome to find him on the bank of the Yarra river.
Caleb had both his WRX and his S2000 on display, but I imagine his shoes garnered just as much attention…
Jon’s MK5 with a fresh new wrap and set of Fifteen52’s for Certified.
Thus concludes my coverage of this year’s Certified event. There were so many impressive cars, and I took many more photos but unfortunately this post is already very very pic heavy.
Peep the other photos on my Facebook page if you’d like to see more, and keep an eye out for Jasmine’s coverage of the event which should drop soon!
Thanks to the new organisers of 100mm for keeping the event going. Despite some mishaps along the way, and some vocal internet commenters losing confidence, it was great day out, and the cars were top notch!
Until next year guys!

Bonus:
Coming and leaving 100mm, I spotted a few nice cars out around Flinders Street.
And piggy backing of Jasmine’s post on Melbourne’s street art, here’s one of my favourite pieces by @Adnate towering above the famous Hosier Lane. He is known for multiple stunning indigenous portraits that can be found all over Melbourne.
