Yesterday we were invited by Autohaus Hamilton to check out their brand new 2014 Porsche Cup car which was having it’s first shakedown session at Sydney Motorsport Park. I’m still pinching myself this morning. It was such an epic day, and I feel so privileged to have been invited.

We had Ved from Selectnine shooting on the day, his photos will be up soon, but for now, enjoy my behind the scenes shots!

I have a real kink towards de-stickered race cars (as I hate a lot of race livery out there these days).

I don’t even care that the front lip is missing from this car! What a machine.

Lexan goodness, oh, and that wing…

Upskirt Shot! Couldn’t resist the opportunity.

Shane Smollen, principal, McGrath Estate Agents, racing eyes on and ready to roll.

We hung out in the Autohaus Hamilton garage all day.

Note the towel between the car and the roof? It’s the little things that make a great workshop.

Amazing right? We’ll never get to see the car this clean ever again.

Imagine that, slicks with your name on them.

Pornography.

Grant from Autohaus Hamilton then got me into the car.

He ran me through some controls. Interestingly if the car is up on it’s hydralic jacks and you want to run through gears you have to hit a button, then use the clutch like a conventional manual to change gears.

So happy!

The carbon doors are ridiculously light. So much so that you think twice before shutting them, am I shutting the door too hard? Or not enough? It’s trippy.

The paddle shifters felt AMAZING and make the paddle shifters in my Golf feel like childs play. So solid, metal on metal, so much feel. And see that Pit Speed button? I’d love one for 40 zones!

Sergio then got a go.

Better yet he got to steer it to the dummy grid for a photoshoot!

Anton and Serg helping move the car for the photoshoot.

Heaven.

My poor little camera just couldn’t fit it all in. Be sure to check back next week for our full feature with shots by Selectnine!
