Earlier this year I caught Carby from Deus Ex Machina speak at Semi Permanent, running through 10 principles they uphold in their iconic cultural brand along with their story and some lessons learned along the way.
The principles & lessons were pretty intriguing and so when I saw that they were throwing a launch party for their recently opened Manly retail store, I made sure that I was able to get down to #SNIPE it.
The latest retail shop has been open for roughly 3 months on Raglan st in Manly, subtly sporting the iconic Deus artwork on the outside. Inside the textures, fittings and fixtures play nicely with the lighting, setting off the array of product.
Despite some pretty heavy thunderstorms rolling through Sydney, a few of the Deus family still came through on bikes.
Young Henrys, Winona Wines and Nusa Caña were all on hand to keep the people hydrated And as the sun set, we were treated to a few words from Dare Jennings and the premiere of their next surf adventure short film “Death Rides a Horse”.
