Making the trek out to El Jannah’s in Granville for charcoal chicken and garlic sauce is ALWAYS worth while. Their garlic sauce is second to none, super intense and so moreish you’ll find yourself dipping all sorts of shit into it… gherkins, fries, pita bread, chicken, the lot. Be sure to wash it down with a Coke too. Perfect.
And despite chewing copious amounts of gum afterwards you’ll be burping garlic all night. Epic!

Whilst you’re there, check out Abla’s Patisserie around the corner. What a shop! We’ve never seen more variations of backlava. You’ll most likely be too stuffed after feasting at El Jannah’s so just buy some to take away.
