Monster Children and Blender Gallery put on a show tonight featuring Pearl Jam by Lance Mercer and Nirvana by Kirk Weddle. I want every single one of them. I’m emotional!

As Pearl Jam are due to set foot in Australia for the first time in ten years, what better way to celebrate than an exhibition paying homage to one of the greatest grunge bands of all time. Photographed by none other than Pearl Jam’s official photographer Lance Mercer, the exhibition will feature Mercer’s works from when he first shot Pearl Jam’s first album Ten to video clips of Even Flow and most famously the ‘Drop in the Park’ concert where Eddie Vedder hung from the rafters. Mercer catalogue captures both Pearl Jam and the booming Seattle scene, allowing a raw, gritty look behind the curtain of bands in their natural environment. This collection will also feature some additional never before seen slide prints of Nirvana by Kirk Weddle. All photographs are exclusive to Blender Gallery and it will be the first time they are showcased in Australia.

Running until November 30th. Address: 7a Danks Street, Waterloo 2017 NSW.
