The TCR Series is hitting Australian shores this weekend during the Shannons Nationals at Sydney Motorsport Park. It’s probably one of the most exciting and best racing series we currently have.
It was developed as a cost-effective alternative to Touring Car Racing. There are no fully-fledged factory owned entries. Eligible cars include all front-wheel drive C-Segment hatchbacks or sedans, powered by production–based turbocharged petrol or diesel engines with a capacity of up to 2-litres.
For this season there are 17 cars competing with drivers from a variety of motorsports, and with varied experience in door-to-door racing. Most of the drivers have only signed up within the last 6 weeks, and have had limited seat time too.
